Journalling... just another task? or something more?
Journaling why it is good when it’s something I have to force myself to do. Not sure why but committing to writing every day seems to be one of those challenges to me.
But I decided it is time for some COMMITMENTS (Not goals) which you can check out about on my blog. One of these commitments is to journal every evening before sleep.
But the question is why do it. It can help you to find order in your chaos. Allowing us to process our days and find hidden insights. You can also include gratitude in your journaling, but that is for another day.
Journaling why it is good and the benefits
1. Strengthens your immune system
2. Boosts Creativity
3. Reduces Stress, Anxiety, and Depression
4. Helps you learn from your Experiences
5. Improves your Communication Skills
6. Helps you sleep better if you do this before bed.
7. Improves your memory
8. Moves you towards your goals
9. Helps you to solve problems
10. Helps you to understand yourself more.
Reading that list, it does seem to make the idea of journaling a no-brainer. The benefits far outweigh the time spent on it.
