Living My Best Life Week 1 of the Journey.
1st thing is first – Wow a week has disappeared quickly. But it has been an amazing one! The following are the achievements:
🔥 One Year Story read twice a day

It has been an amazing week of changes. None of them being difficult or hard. Which is what I wanted to start with.
Remembering to reward yourself with little things like meals with friends. Is really important. Making sure to recognize what you have been doing. Living My Best Life means including treats and friend dates.

Living My Best Life - the week
I thought the 5 am start would be a lot harder than it was. I have to admit that doing this has increased my productivity by no end. I am getting so much achieved in the first hours of the day. This makes me feel good, resulting in achieving more.
By Sunday though my “eyes” were tired. I still got up at 5 am and did my routine and some work. But after my gym class at 9 am, I decided it was best to have the rest of the day off. It is so important, yet so easy to forget we need rest and recovery.
Doing this meant that when I woke up this morning (Monday) I was back to full energy and awesomeness. I even woke up before the alarm😱!
One thing I did find is that to make the early starts happen I needed to put my phone the other side of the room. That way I have to get out of bed to turn the alarm off. I then have to ban myself from getting back in it.
Making things as easy as possible for you and your brain is important. Small little tricks help.
Higher productivity is 100% part of Living My Best Life. The 5 am starts are here to stay.

Habits and changes in your day
One thing I did notice is any change in your usual day can throw your new habits and routines. For me this week was my environment. Traveling to the photography studio and staying away in a hotel made it harder to follow the new routines and habits I set for myself.
Be kind to yourself if your day isn’t usual and you miss some of your habits. It is ok, even more so when you are just creating them! It is hard enough to get the willpower to start. But to continue when you are in a different space can be challenging.
As you build the habit over weeks and months, a change in your day or environment, won’t make any difference. Your subconscious brain will take over and you will do it anyway. Like brushing your teeth.
But when starting out don’t beat yourself up for a habit not being achieved. Instead, celebrate the number of days you did achieve it.
So far Living My Best Life is working for me, lets’ see how week two goes.
Habits Can take 66 days to create

Journalling
I journal daily as part of my morning and evening routine. This helps me to keep a record of how the habits I am changing help me.
I record how I feel that day, and what has worked or hasn’t. I add in 6 – 10 things I am grateful for from the day.
Journaling is a great way to focus your mind, process your thoughts and allow you to sleep better too.

You have the choice - the choice to live a full life or to stay the same.
