Well I am on to day 3 and really enjoying my self care week. Getting back to a routine for me is important. Because I find that I can be more productive and have a better over all day.
The two main routines are my morning and night routines. Being up at 6am works for me, I find I get more work complete. My most focused and productive time at the computer is 6 till around 1pm.
Recently I have found myself out of my normal routine, and it really does throw out the day and how I feel at the end of it. Meaning I end the day without feeling like I have achieved the level I needed to feel satisfied.
Do you have a morning routine? Something that makes you embrace the day? Maybe its Yoga or going for a walk? I would love to hear all about it in the comments below.
So yes, today was being awake by 6:30am and getting back into the mindset of getting up. Not only that but to be back in bed by 9pm. Switching off the computer (Although not tonight as I am writing this), reading and settling down for the evening.
I forgot to take any images of the self care today 🙄 whoops
The second part of today’s self care, was my body. Today I had a sports massage by the amazing Jason – Re:Newyou I had been ignoring for a bit that my lower back hasn’t been to happy with me. It is never good to leave these things unchecked, and with self care week here it was a perfect time.
Turns out I need to stretch a lot more which will now be day 4’s mission.
The last part of today was heading to a dance class I have been promising myself to do for months. It was time to increase my dance training and get my bum to class. As photographers we have a very active job, but a bigger percentage of it often stuck at computers. Therefore it’s important that we look after our bodies in anyway we can.
What does your body need at the moment? Better food? More stretching? More Water? Taking time out for walking (which has HUGE benefits, but that is for another blog post).
